How to Check the TATA AIG Health Insurance Claim Status

TATA AIG Health Insurance company offers two ways to check the claim status of the policy. One can either go online or choose an offline way to check their status. In the below section, check out both ways of checking your claim status:

Online Method:

  • Visit the TATA AIG General Insurance Company's official website.
  • The ‘Claim Process’ option can be found in the top right corner of the website's homepage.
  • Here, you must select the "Track Claim" link.
  • Once done, a page for tracking claims will appear.
  • You must log in on this page in order to see the policy information.
  • Fill in the phone number you registered with the insurance.
  • You can view the status of your policy claim by selecting the "Confirm Tab" button.

Offline Method:

  • By phone or email: If you need help keeping track of the status of your insurance policy, you may contact the insurance company's customer service line. If you have a claim-related question or issue, you can also write to TATA AIG General Insurance Company.
  • By visiting the Branch Office: You may use the website to search for the TATA AIG Insurance Company's nearest branch office and locate it there. Make sure you bring the documentation with you when you visit their office.
  • Through SMS: You may also keep track of the status of your insurance policy with the SMS service. Using the SMS number supplied by the insurer, you may check the progress of your claim under your Tata AIG health insurance policy. The same method may be used to determine additional insurance information, such as the claim number, policy number, etc.

Claim Process of TATA AIG Health Insurance Plans

The company provides a simple claim process to assist the policyholder during medical emergencies. It has divided the process into two forms- Cashless and Reimbursement. Let's discuss both types of claims in detail.

Cashless:

Under this form of claim settlement, the insured has the freedom to take the needful treatment at any network hospital. The best thing about this plan is that after submitting the required documents along with a claim form to the insurance company or TPA present at the network hospital, the insured doesn't have to worry about making payments. The insurance company or TPA will directly deal with the bills associated with the treatment.

Reimbursement:

Here you need to pay all the treatment bills to the hospital. Later, you can file for reimbursement under TATA AIG health insurance. To do that, the insured must collect all bills, and prescriptions related to the treatment and submit the same along with the claim form to the insurance company or TPA. The insurer will analyze your claim and might ask for additional documents (if required). If it gets approved, the company will transfer the amount directly into your account and in case of rejection, you will receive the reason for the same.
